World's oldest lady dies
Japan's Kama Chinen who was the world's oldest lady according to the book of Guinness World Records has died at 114 years old.

Chinen (above) died on May 2, 2010, a mere eight days before what would have been her 115th birthday. She came close to increasing her lead over the previous record holder, Gertrude Baines, a US citizen who lived up for 114 years. Baines died September last year. The new oldest lady alive is now French citizen Eugenie Blanchard, who was born on February 16, 1896 on the Caribbean island of Guadalupe.
