Churchill Roosevelt Highway closed Saturday night

The Trinidad and Tobago Parliament opened formally today.
Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar announced that Local Government elections will take place on July 26, 2010.
In other news, Sammy’s Multilift Services Limited has been awarded the contract to lift, transport and install the 241 Metric Ton Aranquez Bridge across the Churchill Roosevelt Highway (CRH).
As a result the Churchill Roosevelt Highway (CRH) will be closed from 8:00 pm on Saturday, June 19, 2010 to 6:00 am on Sunday, June 20, 2010 between the Aranquez Traffic Light and the intersection of the Uriah Butler Highway (UBH) and Churchill Roosevelt Highway.
The following Traffic Management Plan will be adhered to during the 10 hour road closure, an e-mail said.
Traffic heading into Port of Spain and Aranquez Road travelling North on the UBH will be detoured to the intersection of the CRH/PBR, turning West unto the PBR then unto the Aranquez Road or continue heading into Port of Spain.
Traffic bound for Port of Spain and Aranquez Road travelling West on the CRH will be detoured at the CRH/UBH intersection to the CRH/ PBR intersection, turning West unto the PBR then unto the Aranquez Road or continue heading into Port of Spain.
Traffic directed to Port of Spain and Aranquez Road travelling South on the CRH will be detoured at the PBR then unto the Aranquez Road or continue heading into Port of Spain.
Traffic going to Arima, San-Fernando or Valsayn on the CRH will be detoured at the Aranquez Traffic light, turning East unto the PBR then South unto the CRH or continue heading into Arima.
