Venezuelan Ambassador calls on Community Development Minister

Venezuelan Ambassador Maria Eugenia Marcano (centre) paid a courtesy call on the Honourable Nizam Baksh (left), Minister of Community Development at his Port of Spain office today. The two discussed potential areas of cooperation between the Ministry and the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, with special focus on poverty alleviation, closing the divide between the rich and the poor and providing a safety network for the poor and vulnerable. Permanent Secretary Angella Jack (right) was also present at the meeting.
